About me
My name is Andrew 'Lester' Pidduck. A fully qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor). Having served 30 years as a firefighter in Kent, I am passionate about safe driving. I have been trained as an advanced driver in fire service vehicles and also as an emergency response driver in fire appliances. Combined with my teaching qualification (PTTLS); Driving Instruction became a natural progression. I instruct in a calm, friendly and patient manner. I aim to develop your skills every lesson, to bring you closer to being a fully independent safe driver for life.
About Lester's
I aim for my learners to become the next generation of safe, confident and considerate drivers on our road networks. Using a client centred approach to learning, I aim to equip you with the skills and techniques required to drive safely in this ever changing environment. Being a driver gives you great freedom. However; with that comes responsibility not only to yourself, but also to your passengers and all other road users.
Prices and packages
Lessons are competitively priced and the beginners package includes a FREE Controls lesson. This covers getting set up in the car, the basic controls and usually a short drive to practice moving off and stopping. As your ability improves I will encourage you to move to the next stage.
Before long you will be turning left and right at junctions, roundabouts and traffic lights. Moving on to rural roads, town roads and duel carriageways.
There is no extra charge for your test day, just book a two hour lesson and I will get you to the test centre and back again and the car is yours to use.

I would highly recommend Andrew, he is so encouraging and made driving seem so simple! Although I am a nervous person when driving he never let me give up and always put in his time and effort to give me as much practise as possible and pass my test. Such a lovely man and always cracks a joke and puts you at ease .

I could not recommend Andrew enough, not only did he help me to pass first time but he also taught me how to drive safely. He corrected my bad and unsafe habits from previous driving experience.
There will never be a dull moment with Andrew and this helped to calm my nerves and make the lessons really enjoyable. I switched from another instructor and after the first lesson with Andrew, I was confident that he would be able to assist me to pass my practical driving test. Andrew is a very friendly and patient driving instructor which I found helped the fact that I was an anxious driver. He was very kind and understanding when I failed my test first time round and helped me keep my confidence up for my next test and he worked hard to make sure I felt prepared enough to pass the second time. He is good at correcting mistakes in a way that doesn’t make you feel bad about them and he sometimes jokes with you so you are able to laugh about them. As well as pointing out my mistakes I found that he was good at explaining to me parts of my driving which were good and didn’t need improving which definitely helped my confidence as a learner. He would also go over things as many times as I needed him to even if it was something simple and never put me down for it. Andrew was my second driving instructor and I found him to be a much better choice and I even began to enjoy my driving lessons so I would highly recommend him.

Each lesson was constructive and encouraging throughout, I enjoyed every one of them. I was able to pass first time and this is thanks to Andrew and all the skills he’s taught me.
